The Chinese gear industry will become a global gear manufacturing country in the next 10 years. According to Luo Baihui, head of the International Mould and Hardware & Plastic Industry Suppliers Association, from 2006 to 2010, China's gear manufacturing enterprises will shift from intensive management to information-based lean manufacturing, and the annual output value will reach 100 billion yuan, becoming the third largest global gear export.
