Yanmar launches 12AY high-speed diesel engine for offshore engineering

Recently, Yanmar Europe has announced that it has launched a new 12-cylinder V-type high-speed diesel engine 12AY, which is mainly used for offshore support vessels, ferries, tugs and commercial fishing boats.
Designed for ease of installation and ease of maintenance, the machine features a new staggered fuel nozzle and combustion chamber design, which means a wide range of speeds and low fuel consumption and emissions. The machine will be on the upcoming SMM in Hamburg, Germany. display.
The new machine is also equipped with mechanical controls and Yanmar's own fuel system components, in line with IMO Tier II standards, and has been approved by six major classification societies.
