The third coke oven gas production methanol plant is put into operation

On September 20th, the Chengdong Coking Co., Ltd. of Tengzhou, Shandong, which was designed and managed by the Second Design Institute of the Chemical Industry, successfully produced 100,000 tons of methanol for coke oven gas production and produced the first batch of high-quality methanol. This is the third domestic production of methanol plant for coke oven gas after the successful operation of the annual production capacity of 80,000 tons in Qujing, Yunnan in 2004 and the production of 100,000 tons of coke oven gas in Hebei Jianou in 2005.

The device is further optimized on the basis of the first two sets of designs, which improves resource utilization, environmental benefits and economic benefits.

Tengzhou Shenglong Coking and Chemical Co., Ltd. builds a coking unit with an annual output of 800,000 tons of rammed coke. It started building a methanol plant for coke oven gas from November 2004 and invested nearly 400 million yuan. It has been completed in nearly 2 years. The commissioning of the project will solve the problem of waste of resources and environmental pollution caused by the air-to-air discharge of about 200 million cubic meters of coke oven gas each year. The use of waste gas will generate huge economic benefits, and it also marks the acquisition of methanol from coke oven gas in China. New results.
