The relocation project of FAW Jiefang Qingdao Automobile Factory officially started its environmental evaluation. The FAW Jiefang Qingdao Automobile Factory in Lidai District, Qingdao will implement the overall relocation. The new site will be located in the Jimo Automobile and Parts Industrial Park, and the existing Dongfang Plant will implement the overall relocation plan.
FAW Jiefang Qingdao Automobile Factory is currently located in the northern industrial zone of Qingdao and is a national large-scale enterprise. At present, FAW Jiefang Qingdao Automobile Factory has two production plants in the east and west, with a total construction area of ​​155,000 square meters. In 2010, the production and sales of heavy trucks in the FAW Jiefangqing Steam Turbine exceeded 140,000 vehicles. 
At present, the factory area has been used to the limit state, which is far from meeting the current domestic and foreign competition needs. Therefore, FAW's Liberation and Greening Factory carried out extensive investigations and inspections, and based on geographical advantages and policy preferences, the new site was selected in the Jimo City Automobile and Parts Industrial Park. The project is expected to be put into production in 2013. 
It is understood that the new construction site of FAW Jiefang Qingdao is adjacent to Jinlong 3rd Road in the east, Yanqing Road in the west, Wanglan Road in the north and Shiquan 1st Road in the south, with a total investment of 2.4 billion yuan and a total area of ​​1.534 million square meters. After the relocation of the project, it will annually produce 100,000 heavy-duty truck cabs and 100,000 heavy-duty truck frames.
