MacGregor receives an order for roll-on equipment for four car carriers

Recently, Cargotec's MacGregor received orders from two Japanese shipyards to deliver a roll-to-roll equipment package for a total of four car carriers. Orders were received in the first quarter of 2016 and equipment is expected to be delivered in the third quarter of 2017.
According to MacGregor, the company has a good track record with these Japanese shipyards.
It is reported that the four car carriers will be built at two shipyards. Two of the 7400CEU pure car/truck carriers will be built at the Shin Kurushima shipyard, and two 3000CEU pure car carriers will be built at Nakai Zosen.
According to the order, MacGregor's engineering solutions and services include MacGregor, Hatlaba, Porsgrunn, Pusnes and Triplex products, which will ensure efficient and safe cargo handling.
It is understood that Cargotec achieved total sales of approximately 3.7 billion euros in 2015 and employs nearly 11,000 people.
