Johnson Controls New Automotive Battery Production Base Settled in Jiyuan City, Henan Province

The Johnson Controls Jiyuan plant has a total investment of approximately US$200 million and is expected to start production in 2018. The main product of the new plant is an adsorbent glass fiber separator battery (abbreviated as "AGM battery"). Johnson Controls' AGM battery has excellent performance and is an ideal energy storage product matching the car start-stop system. It can provide electric energy to the car instead of the fuel engine when the car is idling, and can reduce fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions by up to 5%. In addition, with the rise and development of car technologies such as car networking and autopilot, as well as consumers' increasing concern about the comfort and safety of driving, the demand for electricity in cars has also increased.
