DuPont Corporation plans to sell automotive paint business

According to Reuters, DuPont, the United States, has started the initial process of selling its automotive paint business. It is expected that the value of the business will be more than US$4 billion.

DuPont's adviser, Credit Suisse Group, has submitted the financial information of the business unit to companies that have an interest in the acquisition.

It is reported that in December 2011, several companies had already inquired about the price of the DuPont automotive paint business, and they have been preparing for the auction.

Both DuPont and Credit Suisse declined to comment on the matter.
